Biography

Edson Luis Maistro has completed his PhD from São Paulo State University (UNESP), São Paulo, Brazil and Post-doctoral studies from Universidade Estadual de Londrina (UEL), Parana state, Brazil. Obtained the title of Associated Professor in Genetics by UNESP in 2009. He works as a Associated Professor in the Speech and Hearing Therapy Department of the UNESP. He has published more than 87 papers in reputed journals. He is a mentor of several students in their Master’s and PhD thesis. His studies focused on cytotoxic, genotoxic and antigenotoxic assessment of natural products, medicinal plants and its major constituents, and their possible action mechanisms.
